Includes a nearly three-minute introduction by Roger Ebert (selectable in the menu, but is shamefully FORCED before the start of the movie, you cannot jump past it...this being a family movie, kids will likely want to watch repeatedly), a useless list of the cast and crew (why not just watch the end credits), a public service announcement encouraging kids to read, a trailer, and a 14-minute interview segment.
Story Synopsis:
A loveable young beagle escapes his abusive master
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture is very nicely rendered. Images are smooth, sharp, and nicely detailed. There is some occasional pixelization. There are some scenes that are softly focused. Colors are easy-on-the-eyes, with accurate fleshtones, natural hues, and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation exhibit good balance. There are occasional source element artifacts. (Suzanne Hodges)
