  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Stone stars as Catherine Tramell, an icy, calculating vixen with an insatiable sexual appetite. Catherine becomes the prime suspect when her boyfriend is brutally murdered in a way that mimics a crime described in her latest novel. Nick Curran (Douglas), a tough, but vulnerable detective, becomes obsessed with the beautiful novelist and cracking her case. Would she be so obvious to commit a crime she wrote about? Or, is she being set up by a jealous rival?

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture is preferred to the previously reviewed non-anamorphic DVD, especially due to improvements in color fidelity. Hues appeared extremely orange and excessively smeared on the previous disc, while this new DVD is better delineated, with more refined colors. Images are generally sharp and detailed, with good contrast and shadow delineation. Some scenes appear somewhat soft. The source element is revealing of some dirt. Still, this version is much cleaner and should please fans. (Suzanne Hodges)
