    Story Synopsis:
    Detained by a neighborhood witch (Harry), Timmy (Lawrence) manages to avoid his imminent demise by reading aloud from a book containing gruesome stories, called Tales From The Darkside. Based on the popular television series, Tales From The Darkside: The Movie consists of three different episodes:

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a slightly dated picture, but images are generally wanting in sharpness, though detail can be nicely rendered. Fine details tend to appear smeared at times. Colors are rich and nicely balanced, with deep endless blacks. Shadow delineation is generally good, offering satisfying visual information in the appropriately dark picture. Overall, the picture should be generally satisfying. (Suzanne Hodges)
