Story Synopsis:
The entire second season of the critically acclaimed and multi-award-winning HBO series, The Sopranos are brought to you here in all their widescreen splendor. Tony Soprano (Gandolfini) is your average joe; a middle-aged guy with an attentive family, friends, a mistress, a shrink to tell his troubles to, and a steady a mob boss. (Laurie Sevano)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD set delivers image quality that is fairly consistent among the episodes. Images are sharp and crisp, but at times with a "digital" edge. Edge enhancement contributes to the "hard" appearance. Overall depth and clarity are pleasing. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered, with good visual information in the darker scenes. Colors are rich and well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Other than occasional edge enhancement and shimmering details, the image quality is solid. (Suzanne Hodges)
