    This sadistic, yet stylish horror film from Dario Argento focuses on the performers of an Opera, who are haunted by a heinous killer.     The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD picture appears slightly dated, but otherwise images should be quite satisfying. The picture is quite sharp, though there are some softly focused scenes. Fine details appear slightly smeared at times, possibly due to noise reduction. Colors are well balanced, with generally accurate fleshtones, and deep, undefined blacks.
