DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a generally satisfying picture, with images that are sharp and nicely detailed, though some scenes appear a bit smeared. Despite a slightly dark character, the colors are well balanced, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues and deep blacks. The source element is revealing of film grain and artifacts throughout. Still, the picture can appear clean and solid. Edge enhancement is noticed, as is occasional pixelization. (Suzanne Hodges)
