Story Synopsis:
Reason to watch Maximum Overdrive: AC/DC music. Reason not to: Everything else. Rookie director Stephen King
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits images that can be slightly soft, but with nicely rendered detail. Colors are well balanced and fully saturated, with accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are quite pleasing, though the picture is wanting in definition at times. Edge enhancement is rarely a factor. Minor source element artifacts are apparent, but overall, the picture is quite clean. (Suzanne Hodges)
