DVD Picture:
Fans of George Benson should be pleased with this anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture. Images are sharp, with nicely rendered detail and depth. Stage details shimmer and create minor aliasing problems at times, but otherwise the picture can be quite solid. Colors are rich and nicely balanced, with vibrant ambient lighting, natural fleshtones, and deep black backgrounds. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
The 5.1-channel soundtrack is a lively, energetic presentation with plenty to offer in terms of spaciousness and envelopment. Fidelity is remarkable, and the audio simply comes alive all around you, with prominent surround activity throughout and a very compelling sense of being right in the crowd experiencing the performances. Users of back surround decoding should benefit from an enhanced sense of expansion. The .1 LFE is active throughout, and the low-end is amply satisfying. The disc also includes a PCM 2.0 soundtrack option. (Perry Sun)
