DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD is nicely rendered, though slightly dark with low contrast. While much of the color scheme is limited to neutral brownish hues, colors are generally well balanced. Blacks are slightly weak and undefined, at times appearing more grayish than black. Shadow delineation is adequate, though visual information gets lost in the darkest scenes. The picture is quite clean and solid, with no glaring artifacts. Fine details shimmer at times.
