DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits excellent shadow delineation in its opening scene. Colors are vibrant and well contrasted with the deepest blacks. The brighter scenes are stylized with warm golden hues. Images are sharp and detailed with excellent fine background definition and clarity. There are a few instances in which fine details shimmer, like the fence on the bridge in the finale of the movie, but distractions like edge enhancement and pixelization are rarely noticed, if at all. Overall, the picture should surely please, as image quality is excellent. (Suzanne Hodges)
