The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD is riddled with source element artifacts and scratches. The dated colors are well balanced, with generally accurate fleshtones, though blacks are weak overall. The images are sharp, but fine detail and definition are wanting. Contrast is a bit low, and visual information is wanting in the darker scenes. Film grain is not too distracting. Overall, the picture is mediocre at best, with many of the distractions being related to the source. (Suzanne Hodges)
