    Story Synopsis:
    8-1/2 Women is an unusual story about Philip Emmenthal (Standing), a very proper, very wealthy Swiss businessman recently widowed from a very proper and passive wife (Claire Johnston). His free-spirited son, Storey (Delamere) returns from managing the family

    DVD Picture:
    The windowboxed, anamorphically enhanced 1.66:1 DVD exhibits rich, vibrant colors that are nicely balanced, with deep, pure blacks. Images are sharp and detailed, but often have quite a "digital" edge, with apparent enhancement and pixelization. Fine film grain is also revealed at times. Contrast and shadow delineation are good, but the deeply saturated blacks offer little visual information in the darker scenes. Overall the picture is pleasing, but overly "digital."
