DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD (first video release in widescreen) is nicely presented with images that are sharp and detailed. With an '80s look, colors are well balanced with accurate fleshtones, rich hues and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered, with good visual information in the darker scenes as Drebin snoops around. Dirt and source element artifacts are apparent, but distractions like pixelization and edge enhancement are minimal.
