DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits generally good quality, though the picture occasionally looks older than it actually is. Images can be nicely detailed on occasion, but are most often softly focused. Colors are generally well balanced, with nicely rendered fleshtones, though blacks are weak and undefined. While contrast is quite good, visuals in the darker scenes often lack definition. Film grain and artifacts are evident. There are minor distractions in the way of pixelization and edge enhancement.
