DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a dated picture that often looks quite good. Images are sharp and generally detailed. Shadow delineation is mediocre, as images tend to get lost in the darker scenes. Colors are quite bold at times, with nicely balanced fleshtones and deep, but undefined blacks. Some scenes appear a bit soft and hazy. Edge enhancement is noticed throughout, and can be very distracting. Fine film grain is evident, as are source element artifacts. (Suzanne Hodges)
