DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a pleasing picture with a beautiful 1930s style and rich, warm hues balanced throughout. Images are sharp and detailed, though a soft, hazy focus is sometimes used. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered as is the overall picture, which will surely please. While not distracting, minor pixelization and minor edge enhancement are apparent.
