    Story Synopsis:
    Jimmy Cliff is Ivan, a character loosely based on a real Jamaican outlaw folk hero from the 1950s in the cult classic The Harder They Come that helped bring reggae music to the world. Ivan is a songwriter from Jamaica

    DVD Picture:
    The 1.66:1 DVD is not anamorphically enhanced, and often appears very smeared and lacking detail and dimension. Colors are rich, with full saturation, though definition between hues is often lacking. Different film formats are used for a picture that often looks like a documentary. While some scenes look generally nice, overall the image quality is unimpressive. Fine film grain is revealed throughout, occasionally appearing excessive. This is not a DVD that one would use for show-and-tell in their home theatre, as it does not well represent the format. (Suzanne Hodges)
