    Story Synopsis:
    Desperately Seeking Susan stars pop diva Madonna in her screen debut as the elusive and oddly engaging Susan, a renegade on the run from a host of enemies and admirers. Roberta (Arquette) is a neglected housewife who takes interest in the personal ads Susan places to communicate with her boyfriend. Soon, her intrigue becomes obsession, and when a freak accident leads Roberta to believe that she is Susan, she finds herself on the run from a dark stranger, her husband, and Susan herself.

    Almost anything would have been a visual improvement over the LaserDisc reviewed in Issue 25, which was excessively reddish throughout the color scheme. The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD does not disappoint. Colors are nicely refined (with fluorescent
