Story Synopsis:
Based on the novel

DVD Picture:
Despite its age, the 30-plus year-old El Dorado exhibits a picture that is quite pleasing with rich, vibrant colors that are nicely balanced. Images are generally sharp and detailed with nicely rendered contrast and shadow delineation (on sets, of course). Minor edge enhancement is noticed, and the picture sometimes has a pasty, plugged-up appearance, but otherwise John Wayne fans will be pleased with the image quality on this 1.78:1 anamorphically enhanced DVD.
