DVD Picture:
The 1.85:1 DVD is not anamorphically enhanced. The stylized picture exhibits warm, slightly oversaturated hues. With much of the film taking place at night, shadow delineation could be better. Visual information is wanting in the darker scenes. Slight smearing is apparent, but the picture can also be nicely detailed with good sharpness. Edge enhancement can be a distraction, but pixelization is minor. (Suzanne Hodges)
