DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD picture, viewed in component video, exhibits fully saturated colors with subtle fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed with superb vertical and horizontal resolution. However, the picture lacks a natural brightness, and should be viewed in a completely blackened room to compensate for the dark character. Digital noise is apparent, especially in interiors and darker scenes. The anamorphic and letterbox aspect ratios measure 1.85:1.
