  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Mercedes. Master-planned communities. MasterCards. Maxed Out has them all...and then some. An eye-opening, jaw-dropping, and often utterly sad, documentary that explores the way Americans use credit, and the credit card companies that, according to facts brought forth in the video, seem to pray on those who are sure to default. After his viewing, Editor Gary Reber thought the Amish may be onto something. (Jack Kelley)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD looks good for a documentary, with vibrant hues and generally natural fleshtones. There are times, however, when skin can look very orange. Details can be captured well, but some pixelization can be noticed that gives the image a very digital look. Edge enhancement can also be recognized from time to time. (Danny Richelieu)
