DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD shows relatively poor black levels and shadow delineation is generally lacking. The result is an image that looks flat in bright and dark scenes. Resolution is not pristine, which adds to the flatness of the picture, and fleshtones are somewhat pasty. Colors are generally well saturated, although occasionally scenes look dull, which can provide some naturalism to the presentation. Pixel breakup and edge enhancement are minor inconveniences, but still noticeable. (Danny Richelieu)
