Story Synopsis:
Hoping to work his way through the ranks in an expedited manner, Eric O'Neill (Phillippe) takes a lowly assignment as the assistant to veteran FBI agent Robert Hanssen (Cooper), who is currently under investigation for possible traitor activities. Carefully watching Hanssen's every move, and reporting it to higher-ups, Eric slowly earns the trust and respect of his hard-edged boss, and becomes entangled in a life gone horribly wrong. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD shows adequate resolution, but fine details in images are not as impressive as in the best releases. Black levels are fairly deep, but details in the shadows tend to get masked in the darkness. Edge enhancement is noticeable throughout and can become rather distracting, especially on high-contrast transitions. (Danny Richelieu)
