  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Oh, Edmond (Macy), what have you done? An innocent after-work stop at a fortune-teller sends his orderly world spinning out of control. Visiting bars, strip clubs, brothels, and all the sinister offerings the city has, along with all of the colorful characters, he finds violence he never imagined. Based on David Mamet

DVD Picture:
While colors can be richly saturated, the anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture has hazy glow to it that washes out the black levels. Minor edge enhancement can be distracting at times, although it really is only apparent on high-contrast edges. Still, details are well rendered, which is the standout of this release. Minor pixilation is noticeable at times, and source element artifacts are sputtered throughout. (Danny Richelieu)
