DVD Picture:
Blacks are deep in the anamorphically enhanced 1.82:1 DVD, but below-average shadow delineation hides all of the detail in the darker scenes. The image can look slightly soft, but there are scenes that show good resolution. The hot color scheme that is used in the flashback scenes is held well, matching the period depicted. Fleshtones have an orangish tone that can make them look unnatural, and the source element has dirt and artifacts that can be noticed at times, but this is a good image. (Danny Richelieu)
