Story Synopsis:
If you missed the 2005 blockbuster "Capote," or even if you didn't, be sure and add "Infamous" to your list of must-see DVDs. Toby Jones does an excellent and convincing job of portraying Truman Capote, the "In Cold Blood" author who formed a relationship with Perry Smith (Craig), one of the killers he was writing about. Based on the book "Truman Capote" by George Plimpton. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits deep blacks and vibrant colors, but shadow delineation is lacking when it gets to the darkest shadows (which is a real disappointment considering the very good lighting in the movie). Details are captured well, but edge enhancement is noticeable. High-contrast transitions can look pixilated at times, giving an unnatural digital edge to it that, when combined with the edge enhancement, can become distracting. (Danny Richelieu)
Soundtrack:
Fidelity is pristine in the Dolby
