Story Synopsis:
College gymnast Dan Millman (Mechlowicz) has it all...good looks, money, girls a plenty, and a talent that may take him to the Olympics. But a chance encounter with a gas station attendant, who goes by the name of Socrates (Nolte), forces him to take a closer, and often painful, look at the person he thinks he is. Things are further complicated when an accident sidelines him from the sport he loves, pushing him to discover who he really is. Inspired by true events, and based on the autobiographical novel Way Of The Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. (Jack Kelley)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD has deep black levels, but limited shadow delineation can shroud the detail in the darkest scenes. Color saturation is natural and while details are resolved well at times, there are many scenes that are too soft. Fleshtones are generally accurate and contrast is nicely rendered. (Danny Richelieu)
