    Story Synopsis:
    Mr. Dunne (Gosling) is a seemingly idealistic middle-school teacher in inner-city Brooklyn, who motivates his students by day...and does drugs by night. But when his drug use enters his day, and he is found by one of his students, Drey (Epps), incapacitated in a bathroom urinal, he discovers he has a real problem. A problem that could not only jeopardize his career, but very well end his life. Gosling

    The gritty nature of the story is picked up well with the stylization of the anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 picture. In most scenes, heavy film grain and a truncated, earthy color scheme point out the harshness of the moment, while the more promising scenes, like those in the school, are more vibrant and natural
