Story Synopsis:
Stick It is ideal for adolescent girls, especially if they like gymnastics. So, enter Hayley Graham (Peregrym), a pretty tomboy with untapped gymnastic potential, a stubborn streak, and matching attitude. After another brush with the local law, she is sentenced to Vickerman Gymnastics Academy, run by smooth-talking, yet caring, Burt Vickerman (Bridges). Unfortunately, Burt and Hayley have a bumpy history together, and unless they learn the art of compromise, their future looks a little uneven...as in the bars. Directorial debut from the writer of Bring It On. (Jack Kelley)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture looks natural indoors, but the strange color scheme used outdoors makes things look bleak, which doesn't really fit the story. Edge enhancement can be a problem, and pixel breakup can also be a distraction. Colors are well rendered, and detail can be impressive, but it can occasionally look soft. (Danny Richelieu)
