Compared to the previously released DVD (reviewed in Issue 34), this new 1.78:1 DVD picture exhibtis a cleaned-up and brighter picture that can look quite impressive at times. While the previous DVD was marred with compression problems and excessive film grain and artifacts, this new DVD is smooth and nicely restored, and pressented with better than average compression. Colors are well balanced, with fleshtones occasionally appearing a bit ruddy. Sharpness and detail are quite satisfying overall. (Suzanne Hodges)
