DVD Picture:
The remastered 2005 Special Edition DVD (Disc One) opens with sepia-toned images, but otherwise offers a richly balanced color palette. Fleshtones often appear somewhat ruddy, and blacks are deep but undefined. Inherent in the source element is some film grain and flecks of dirt, but the 2.35:1 picture has been cleaned up nicely. Minor edge halos and pixel breakup can be noticed, but overall the picture looks fine for its age. (Suzanne Hodges)
