  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Ellison (Louis), simply known as L to his friends, comes home after a day spent with his waiting-for-the-right-moment girlfriend only to find his mechanic father dead on the bathroom floor. Without money to pay rent and a family for support, he is left lost, alone, and homeless on the tough streets of Harlem, where he becomes the Unknown Soldier, fighting to resist the lifestyle of a criminal. (Tricia Spears/Jack Kelley)

DVD Picture:
The 1.85:1 DVD is not anamorphically enhanced and suffers from a smeared, undefined quality. The picture is, at best, adequately sharp, with poor shadow delineation and low contrast. Colors appear muddy. Very low bit rates leave the picture plagued by pixelization. (Suzanne Hodges)
