DVD Picture:
The subdued look of the anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD gives the movie a gloomy mood, but colors are still rendered relatively well. Details are not delivered with much consistency, as some scenes are noticeably soft, while others show extreme detail, especially in the fibers of suits and the stubble of facial hair. Indoors, fleshtones are given an unnaturally orange hue, while outdoors they can look slightly green. Black levels are deep and shadow delineation is good, delivering details in the darker scenes very well. Edge enhancement can be noticed at times, especially around text and high-contrast transitions. (Danny Richelieu)
