Story Synopsis:
In his troubled young life Johnny Cash (Phoenix) was known to "Walk The Line" more than once or twice, and his dependency on pills threatened to ruin everything he had worked for. But the only consistency in his life, his love for singing companion June Carter (Witherspoon), kept him going and in the end saved him from the one person capable of destroying it all
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.38:1 DVD picture has some soft characteristics, but details are adequate throughout. At times, the picture can be extremely crisp and clear. The period of the film is nicely depicted with the color scheme, which is well balanced, but has a slightly dim, understated appearance. Fleshtones are nicely rendered, and blacks are deep and solid. Pixel breakup is apparent at times, but edge enhancement is generally a minor offense. (Suzanne Hodges)
