Story Synopsis:
It's 1850 and sunny California is not the place to be, so the desperate citizens launch a campaign for statehood, that is soon thwarted by some greedy Europeans. And when Don Alejandro de la Vega (Banderas) catches wind about this, he wants to spring into action to save the day, but his beautiful wife (Zeta-Jones), tired of her husband's secret life, puts her pumped heel down in a final ultimatum: family or hero. Will the Legend Of Zorro return to save his people? Or will be remain in the arms of his love? Or, perhaps, both. (Jack Kelley)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD 2.35:1 picture exhibits richly saturated color palette that is complementary to the genre and setting. Plenty of rich browns and warm tobacco hues give the picture a western flavor. At times, fleshtones can appear a bit ruddy. Details are nicely rendered, even in the action shots. There is no bothersome edge enhancement, and pixel breakup is also a rare distraction. Overall, the picture looks fantastic. (Suzanne Hodges)
