Story Synopsis:
What is it with the attraction to movies with skinny actors in fat suits? Anyhoo, Jamie Palamino (Smart) and Chris Brander (Reynolds) are high school best friends, but unfortunately Just Friends for Chris. Chris's weight problem has kept their friendship at the platonic level. But 10 years later, Chris is quite a catch and is traveling home for the holidays with pop star, Samantha James (Faris). DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture looks great, with vibrant colors that are nicely balanced throughout. Images are sharp and detailed, with accurate contrast and shadow delineation. Only minor edge halos are noticed in higher contrast scenes (like objects against a snowy background), and some pixelization can be detected. (Suzanne Hodges)
