Through a series of mishaps, mistaken identities, and a celebrity makeover for Papprizzio
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture exhibits a nice color palette that complements the mid-1700s setting of the story. Hues are well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. While there are some softer scenes in which details and textures are not quite apparent, the Venician setting is presented with satisfying sharpness throughout. There is limited pixelization and rare edge halos, making for a picture that is clean overall. (Suzanne Hodges)
