Story Synopsis:
David Spritz (Cage) is "The" Chicago "Weather Man" who seems to have it all. He makes good money without working too hard, and he's in line for a job on a New York national morning show. But David's personal life is a mess. His Pulitzer Prize-winning father (Caine) is in poor health, he's divorced from his wife (Davis), and his kids are becoming more distant than ever. Hoping to repair the wrongs in his life, David does what he can to get close to his family before distance isn't the only thing separating them. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
Despite having a slightly soft-around-the-edges appearance, the anamorphically enhanced 1.82:1 DVD picture is adequately detailed. Colors often have a cool tint, with bluish hues that enhance the Chicago winter, but affect fleshtones and whites. There is some pixelization apparent, and very rare instances in which edge enhancement is noticed. Overall, the look of the picture is complementary to the storytelling. (Suzanne Hodges)
