Story Synopsis:
Escaping her abusive husband and needing to support her two young children, Josey Aimes (Theron) heads to the North Country of Minnesota and takes a job at Pearson Mines. She is one of a handful of woman that work this there, all while enduring non-stop harassment from male counterparts. Finally fed up and angry, she, along with attorney Bill White (Harrelson), takes on this mining empire in a emotionally-charged trial, thus making history. Inspired by the book "Class Action: The Landmark Case That Changed Sexual Harassment Law" by Clara Bingham and Laura Leedy Gansler. (Jack Kelley)
DVD Picture:
Exhibiting pleasing quality throughout, the anamorphically enhanced 2.38:1 DVD picture is delivered with nicely saturated, well-balanced colors. Images are sharp and detailed, with well-balanced contrast and shadow delineation. There is very little in the way of bothersome edge enhancement or pixelization for a clean picture overall.
