Story Synopsis:
In the privacy of his bedroom or in the stall of his high school's bathroom, Justin (Pucci) is a Thumbsucker...and he just can't stop. But with the hypnotic help of his new-age orthodontist (Reeves) and some good ol' ADD meds, he becomes a new student exuding confidence and becoming the debate team's top dog, much to the chagrin of his middle-aged father (D'Onofrio). However, this new-found bravada is short-lived and he must discover, with the help of tree-hugger-turned-pothead Rebecca (Garner), who he really is and what it means to be "normal." Based on the novel by Walter Kirn. (Jack Kelley)
