Story Synopsis:
Hollywood: a place where stars are born. And a place where actors desperately try to walk with fame. Follow Jennifer, Bryan, and Krista as they attend acting classes and humiliating auditions, and cross paths with famous actors and directors in their quest to make a living as an actor. Playing out as an Unscripted documentary, the humorous show won critical acclaim nationwide. Frank Langella stars as their no-nonsense acting coach. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
While not anamorphically enhanced, the 1.70:1 picture exhibits a documentary style that is comeplementary to the intentional feel of the series. Handheld cameras offer up-close emotional and wide voyeuristic angles. Colors are sometimes dense and poorly delineated, often with warm yellow overtones. Noise is noticed in the source element, and bright scenes appear blown out or exhibit intentionally exaggerated contrast. Some pixel breakup is noticed at times. (Suzanne Hodges)
