Story Synopsis:
When 25-year-old Caroline Ellis (Hudson) accepts a job as a live-in Hospice Caretaker, she has no idea what's in store for her. Moving to a spooky old house in the swamps, Caroline begins taking care of bedridden Ben Devereaux (Hurt). When Ben's wife Violet (Rowlands) gives Caroline a key that unlocks all the doors in the house, "The Skeleton Key," Caroline puts it to good use. But what she discovers is a secret so frightening and terrifying that Caroline wonders if she dares to believe it. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture looks great, with rich, vivid colors that appear well-balanced throughout. Blacks are solid, providing a thrilling sense of depth in the suspenseful scenes. Images are sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered textures. Some scenes appear somewhat soft, but rarely is any smearing evident. There is little pixelization and no obtrusive edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
