Story Synopsis:
The lives of several people are forever changed on one tragic evening at 11:14. At forty-six minutes before midnight, as Jack (Thomas) drives down the freeway en route to a late-night rendezvous with his girlfriend, his car smashes into a stranger who appears out of nowhere. Jack attempts to hide the body, launching a backtrack through five different storylines that collide in a series of deadly and ironic twists. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
With quite a bit of the story taking place at night, the anamorphically enhanced 1.82:1 DVD picture nicely delivers the dark visuals. Colors are well balanced with accurate fleshtones and generally deep blacks. Shadow delineation is nicely rendered throughout with adequate visual information in the darkness. Under the fluorescent lighting of the convenience store and shops along the street, colors appear cold and undersaturated. There is some minor pixelization, but no bothersome edge enhancement.
