  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
"Anything Goes" when two Broadway hotshots (Crosby & O'Connor) board a luxury ocean liner for a little excitement on the high seas. But when they both choose different leading ladies (Jeanmaire & Gaynor) to star in their show, they realize they've got double the trouble but twice the fun. From the play by Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse (revised by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse). (Tricia Spears)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.75:1 DVD picture exhibits generally pleasing image quality for the age of the film. Certainly, there are dated characteristics. Fleshtones often appear brownish, but colors are quite nicely saturated. Sharpness is satisfactory, though finer details are lacking. Sometimes the picture appears downright blurry. The source element is revealing of some flecks of dirt and artifacts at times. There are occasional edge halos. (Suzanne Hodges)
