Story Synopsis:
Everyone's favorite TV witch comes to the big screen in Nora Ephron's remake of "Bewitched." Jack Wyatt (Ferrell) is ready for a big comeback and decides to do a television show playing the role of Darrin Stephens. His one condition is that he wants an unknown to play the part of his wife Samantha. When he meets Isabel Bigelow (Kidman), he's sure that he's found the perfect woman, but what Jack doesn't know is that Isabel really is a witch, and she's about to cast a spell on him. Based on the television series created by Sol Saks. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a bewitching color palette that is rich and vibrant, with well-balanced fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered textures, and well balanced contrast and shadow delineation. Only occasionally do images appear slightly smeared, and there is minor pixelization. Overall, this is a fantastic looking picture that is perfectly complementary to the lighthearted storytelling. (Suzanne Hodges)
