    Story Synopsis:
    You'd have to be pretty "Desperate" to pull off some of the tricks these "Housewives" pull off, but in "The Complete First Season" you get to know the wacky women and what makes them tick. With their dead friend Mary Alice (Strong) commenting throughout each episode about life on Wisteria Lane, it's easy to see why this show has become a worldwide hit. (Tricia Spears)

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVDs in this series exhibit warm, vibrant colors that are nicely balanced and are a perfect contrast to the biting storylines. Images can be sharp and detailed, but sometimes the picture can have a soft, fuzzy appearance. Contrast and shadow delineation are well balanced throughout. There is some pixel breakup noticed at times, but edge enhancement is not a problem with this title. (Suzanne Hodges)

    Truth is, there is no other magazine, on-line or in print, that covers the substantive issues, controversies, and current topics of the A/V world with as much relevance and detail as WSR does without forcing the reader to filter out the bias of the reviewer. Some other notable sources of information are top-heavy with reviews suffering from too much coloration: the golden eyes or ears syndrome. I prefer the clinical analysis of WSR with a touch of humor thrown in, to make for better reading. Thanks for giving me the facts and helping me with my buying decisions.
