DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture looks fantastic, with images that are sharp and detailed, offering pleasing textures and clarity. Colors are richly saturated and well-balanced, with natural fleshtones and deep blacks. Some minor smearing is noticed at times. Shadow delineation is excellent in the darker sequences. Edge halos are not a problem with this title (not even in the higher contrast snow scenes), although some pixelization can be detected. With the exception that the picture can look a bit soft at times, this DVD is an otherwise superb visual experience. (Suzanne Hodges)
