Story Synopsis:
Back in 1991 or so Bradley Beesley met his weirdo rock star neighbor, Wayne Coyne, one of "The Fearless Freaks" known as The Flaming Lips. They have been making music videos and homemade movies ever since. Shown through a series of interviews, videos, and stage performances, this is the story of a group of self-proclaimed normal guys who were just trying to make interesting music. (Tricia Spears)
DVD Picture:
Originated from various film formats, the 1.85:1 DVD picture is not anamorphically enhanced and has a typical documentary appearance. Sometimes the picture is extremely soft and smeared, while other times appearing nicely detailed. Stills, home movie footage, and black-and-white clips are peppered throughout.
