DVD Picture:
The 1.82:1 DVD picture is not anamorphically enhanced and exhibits poor picture quality for an otherwise outstanding DVD. Images are smeared and lack definition and details. Shimmering artifacts like stairstepping and moire are evident. Colors are muddy and undefined, though hues can, at times, exhibit good balance. Annoying white halos in high contrast visuals are noticed. Bit rate dedicated to the picture is quite low, at about 3 to 4 Mbps. (Suzanne Hodges)
